This property had a full scale landscape design with two back yard areas and the entire multi-level front yard. Working with both an integration of stone and timber this design aimed to reflect the dwelling and provide a serene and peaceful outdoor retreat. This project feature in Queensland’s Sunday Mail as a feature property.
The brief behind this project was to integrate the flow between inside living and out. Working with an existing covered area and pool and adding a grand covered area and BBQ shelter. By blending climate appropriate planting strategies and building new yard spaces we were able to develop this outdoor space into a multi-use entertaining area.
Our brief here was to create a highly personalised design focusing on a clean use of space and strategic planting to provide an smooth thoroughfare to the pool and outdoor living area. Setting the open plan pool design next to the backdrop of the city created a feeling of open space and a symbiosis between pool and garden area. The pool gazebo tied in with both the nostalgia of the residence and the contemporary look of the pool design.
In this instance the aim was to work with the natural steep gradation of the entryway and create both interesting stairway and functioning planting strategy. By utilising different levels the final design tied in the the residence to provide a synonymous design piece with the house.
The aim in designing this project was to create levels that worked with the slope of the land while offering a clean, classic and refined timber and stone finish. Plants, timber and stone were all carefully chosen to best tie together to provide a sleek and tied in finish. Providing a designated seating area while still leaving the back yard open was integral in best utilising the space.
The design for this North Lakes residence was to keep the current entryway but introduce a garden with water feature and tiled outdoor sitting area. Keeping the design in flavour with the home colours accentuated not only the style of the dwelling but the colours that were introduced into the garden. The overall balance provided the house with a functioning front yard that enhances street appeal and purpose for this residence.
